NEW MOTOR-CAR MODELS.
FIM-: CARS AT LOW PRICES. Motorists visiting the Show cannot fail to be attracted by the new models exhibited uy the Gisborne Garage, and particularly'by the latest productions of two well-known English and brencli manufacturers, the Armstrong-Siddeley and the Citroen. The former car is known throughout the world as one- of tlio lines!, English productions, and the 1925 model embraces all the qualities <d earlier models, with a, number o't improvements, and 1 sells at the low price oi £450. The car is not a light machine, but a, 14-horse power model of a size that will meet most requirements. Ihe linish throughout is an example of the best English workmanship,’ while the name on the engine- is sufficient guarantee of its efficiency. The Citroen, although not so w,ell-known loca'ily, has established a reputation in other countries, particularly for its exceedingly low running costs, the four-seater model being officially credited with 45 miles to the gallon,"and the two-seater with 50 miles. The Citroen is well suited to local conditions, being light and powerful, and having ample clearance. The smaller mpdel sells at ~-d5, and the larger one at £395. The American agencies held by the Gisborne Garage include the Hupmobile, Wiliys-Knight, and Overland, three cars of proved reliability. The \villysKnight stands out as one of the finest cars on the market, the silent powerful engine being a distinct feature, while the body-work and finish are much above the ordinary. The Hupmobile is in a some what different class, the iffcnufacturers ol this car making appearance quite a secondary consideration and concentrating on a reliable engine and permanency in the whole construction. Every part ol the body bears evidence of the best work manship, the car being solidly constructed and ensuring years of service. The engine is the same Hupmobile engine that has given universal satisfaction for many years, and at the price, £485, the car is undoubtedly a splendid proposition. The popular Overland is a lighter car of overincreasing popularity, while an outstanding testimony of its efficiency is the fact that it has been adopted by all Govern merit departments in preference to other makes. The price of the car varies from £240 to £275, the de luxe model, fully equipped selling at £250. Models of all the cars mentioned will be on exhibition at the Show, and demonstrations of any or all of them will be given to anyone interested.*
