INDIAN UNREST.
REVOLUTIONARY PROPAGANDA IN BENGAL.
.’Australian arid N.Z. Cable Association. (Received Oelober 28. 2 p.m.) DELHI, October 27. Though outwardly the Government of Bengal’s action in arresting a large number of persons suspected of complicity in revolutionary crime- has been received calmly, there is a strong undercurrent of resentment disceriialde. A huge public, meeting at Ca'lcutta. passed a resolution expressing the si rouges! protest and dedicated next Saturday as a day of mourning throughout the province. The European community is profoundly surprised at the extent of revolutioilnry propaganda disclosed in the Government’s declaration of reasons for promulgating the ordinance. British troops, in full war equipment, marched through the Indian quarter of the city this morning. Armoured cars patrolled the streets.
