RADIO TALK WITH AEROPLANE.
NEW YORK, August Jl.—The radio audience which last week listened to the remarks of a diver speaking from the bottom of the sea . were treated' yesterday to a recital of the experiences of an aviator flying a mile; above- . New York City. The experiment, which was conducted by the Radio Corporation of America,- is said never to have been attempted before, aud officials of the company, attach- great importance to the results,; as suggesting the«cniai'gcd possibilities of radio broadcasting. The aviator’s words, even when the machine was out of sight, were plainly, heard by those ! about the field station, although the roar from the motQfs was transmitted with the voice. , The, airman readily ‘f responded to questions’ asked from the j field. “Its funny,” he said, “to hoar J a man talking when flying a mile ! above the earth.
