LONDON, July 14.—Mr. C. T. Cramp, industrial secretary of the National Union of Railwaymen, gave some sound advice to the members of the Amalgamated Unions in referring to their new whge demands. “It is not known what the outcome of these demands will be," ho added, “but the idea prevails that everything can be obtained by means of a,strike and this sentiment needs a mental overhauling. “I believe only in striking when the struggle.is worth while. The curse of the Labor movement to-day is its desire to get. into the limelight by the strike route. This is not only futile but foolish and sometimes leads to the squandering of resources and the breaking, of hearts of men and women.’'
