GERMANY SENDING TO LONDON
FOB LOAN,

tions for a loan under the Dawes scheme.
LONDON, Aug. 24. —It is reported in banking ’circles (says the Times’ New York correspondent) that the International Loan of:’ 200,million dollars (£40,000,000) will lie ready for formal flotation within a month, and that half of it will be raised in the United States. The loan will be underwritten by a big banking syndicate, including virtually all tho large New York and Chicago banks and institutions in ot tier parts of tho country. Bankers say that it is too early to discuss the terms of the loan, but that the interest must be high enough to ensure the loan being attractive to American investors.
WORLD’S LARGEST COMPANY,
The company which is to take control of Ihe German railways,.as securilv for Ihe loan, will be the largest in the world, with a staff of more than 700,000 men.
The committee is composed of two members named by the Expert Committee, Sir William Acworth and M. Levervo, and of two members nominated by tin' German Government, Messrs. Vogt, nil cl Bergmann. Provision was made for the appointment of a fifth neutral member, but, as the four members worked in complete harmony throughout, they did not find it necessary to call in the fifth member.
