THE AUSTRALIAN PLANT.
ENGINEER LEAVES TO-NIGHT.
In accordance with the decision of the Board, Mr. R. Campbell, harbor engineer, will leave by the Arahura this evening for Napier, and will citch the . Tahiti at Wellington for Sydney, and then proceed to Melbourne to make final arrangements for the dredging unit at- Flinders naval base, which has been purchased by the Harbor Board, to be despatched to Gisborne.
All detailed arrangements in connection with towage of the plant- have already been made, and tentative arrangements have been made for the plant to be placed in thorough seagoing order. It is anticipated that Mr. Campbell will be absent, about a month, and the plant should bo in Gisborne within about two months;
