MeCray has thus closed a remarkable business career. He schemed to make ten million dollars or "bust"—and he "busted." He had five farms, where he raised pure-bred stock, and when he needed funds."he forged .the names of the farm superintendents and other workmen to notes which the banks cheerfully cashed for such a great man. Reverses came, however, and McOray was ruined.
