SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
(To the Editor of th«- Hemld.l Sir, —Permit me space, to reply to "Householder" of the 7th inst. ' Had Householder" been present at the meeting of householders at Ngatapfl he would have had his thirst for knowledge appeased, as it was specifically set out who were eligible tu-vote. But alas ! he was not present. Re the query as to single men being eligib'c, I. know from actual experience in Ngatapa that some of Ibe single men take more interest in the school ami consequently the children's welfare, and- donate more generously to, the school funds than some of the residents who have pupils attending the lotai school. Perhaps "Householder" would like In. see the Njwttapa School Committee election declared void, but as this is an impossibility be must wait until next .annual: meeting when he can vent his grievances.—l am, etc., A COMMI'ITELMAN.
