DEPOSITIONS TAKEN,

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTAX, this day.

A party consisting of Mr E. Page, S.M., Chief Detective Kemp and the Court clerk visited the Wellington Hospital to-day to take the depositions in a case in which Julia lluddlesden is charged with unlawfully using an instrument on a single woman, Lucy Josephine Pope, and a young man, Roy Pinny, is charged with procuring lluddlesden to eommitt a crime. Pope, iri her evidence, said: the accused Pinny was responsible for her condition. Pinny made arrangements, and witness visited' lluddlesden, who performed an operation. \ She later became ill. and on the advice uf Pinny admitted everything to Dr. Luke, who ordered her removal to the hospital. After witness had completed her evidence the hearing was adjourned and the accused were remanded.
