GAIETY SKATING RINK.
The final of the musical chair competition at the Gaiety Skating Rink last evening drew large crowds of spectators, and the seating accommodation was taxed to its utmost. iluring the evening the floor was fully occupied by ska teas.
At 9 o’clock the final commenced, and after a spirited contest with G. White, L. P. Cox succeeded’ in winning. Mr. T. Adair, who judged, the final and tire various heats, then presented Air. Cox with a first-class pair of skates and congratulated’ him on his success. Next Monday a driving competition will be commenced. Gentlemen skaters will be blindfolded and guided! by lady skaters between skittles, and the contest, which will be judged on points, will l e awarded' in each case to the lady competitor. T his .evening a display of hinev spat - iv. including two-steps, srholtisehe, tip-toe, sliding, heel, _ and numerous c,tli-er items will be- giv**n by glvillcu skaters. This display should attract large crowds to the rink.
