ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. THIS WEEK’S MATCHES. The weekly meeting of the manage ment comm,,me of the Loverly Bay Football Association was herd last evening, Captain J. VV. Holmes presiding. I'nare were also present-: Messrs. E. W. Harvey, E. T. Dodd roll, C". Whiteley. Taylor, Wi Waaka., J. Lacker. E. Woodrow, Lenny, R. Johnson, A. Good, and Captain Coleman. A letter was received from the Tarnhem Club, asking for home and away matches in ilvei League, competitions, il ne.ng pointed out that the O.ub had a ground of its own at- VVaipaoa. it waa decided to ask the Tiiviihcru Club to send two delegates to the .next meeting of ‘he com ini lieu, and to, hoid consideration of the matter over until then. The position in regard to a, primary school comiuetitiou was further discussed, and it, was intimated that pie pairations were being made for the playing of inn tehee. The question of a> I'ofe-nefil in aid of tie' tepid baths fund was further referred to, but it was decided to again hold the matter over ponding more definite arrangements. Messrs Taylor and Harvey and Captain Holmes were elected a postponement committee. The draw for this week s matches resulted as follows: Thursday—Waiiersidc-rs V. Hotspur. No. 1 ground, 3 p.m. Referee, Mr. Oswald; Foresters A. v. Foresters 11.. No. 4 ground, 3 p.m. Referee, A hr. Johnson. Saturday : —Water,aiders v. Ta.io'hcril No. 1 ground, 3 p.m. Referee. Mr. Tarn bull; Oddfellows y. .Mercantile. No. 4 ground, 3 p.m. Referee, Mr. McKay. NEW CLUB FORMED. As a result of a, well-attended meeting last evening ai now club was formed to take part, Lit thy Thursday competition, the club being named Hotspur Association Football Club. Officers were elected as follows :—President, ilr. E. T. Dodd roll; vice presidents, Messrs. Hampton, AI. Kyne, Stark La.wrie, Gordon, and Atkinson; chairman, Air. R. Johnson; secretary rind treasurer, Air. A. Good; committee, Messrs. AlcEwen, W. Gordon, E. Rice, S. Hope, and Burke.
