EARTHQUAKE SHOCKS.
EXPERIENCES AT TAURANGA
MOVEMENTS ALONG A LINE TO'
WANGANUI,
(Per Press Association.) • TAURANGA, this d<ay. Two light earthquake shocks wero experienced! here this morning. Colonel Ward, who lias a recording instrument, reports the first tremor at 4.29, and a much more definite series of oscillations occurring three minutes later showed movements along a line roughly joining Wanganui and. 1 Tauranga. The indications were almost as strong as the most forcible of the Taupo series two years ago, and the general direction leads to suspicions that the origin is in the same neigborhood.
