Arrezzo Tursi and And,reoni, two Communist students, confessed that when Feuzi and three travellers were asleep Tursi took from a rack six phials of chloroform and other and a roll of cotton wool, dagger and revolcver. He sprinkled tufts of the. wool with ether and spread them on the floor. He joined Anrdeoni, who was in the next compartment.
When he returned, Tomassi, a business man, awoke and shouted for help. Tarsi stabbed Tomassi in (he neck. In the struggle a window was broken, so Tursi and Andreoni fled. As they ran through the corridor Tomassi, wounded, followed, crying "Thief!" A soldier bar.red the communication door, so Tursi turned and shot Tomassi in the heart and jumped out of the train, breaking his leg. He and Andreoni were later arrested. The attack on Feuzi is attributed to a Communist plot.
