LABOR CARNIVAL.
The Labor carnival and sale of work in the .Liberty Hall was opened litis afternoon by Mr. W. .J. Jordan, M.P. for Mannkau. There was a good attendance and the carnival promises to be very successful. The various stalls and holders are as follows :
Fancy-work stall: Misses Hudson (2). Sewing stall : Mesdames Cotton, Lyttlewood ami Stevenson. Cake stall:/. Mesdames rj'utlon, Bickford and Griffin. Flower stall ; Mrs Tate. Produce stall : Mesdames Hall, Taylor, and Coleman. Ice-cream, sweets and soft drinks stall : Misses Coleman, Bugden, Perry and Bartram. Tea-rooms: Mesdames Bugden, Wise, and Hansen. Tlierf' is also a humorous art gallery and various games and competitions. The baby show will be judged by Dr. Bowie, and each evening there will be a musical entertainment, the music being supplied 7»y Mr. Sharpies’ jazz orchestra. 1m response to numerous requests from people in the country. the carnival will be open continuously from midday to-morrow.
