SCIENTIST EXPLAINS TELEPATHY
BAYS BRAIN GIVES RADIO WAVES. LONDON, Dec. 29.—According to advices received here. Professor Lazoreff, head of the Institute of Physics tit Moscow, lm.s proved experimentally that the nerve centres of the human brain give off electro-magnetic waves, similar to those of wireless telegraphy. This lmd been propounded as a theory by Professor Morsclli, the Bologna scientist, but is stated never before to have been proved with positive results when tested. Professor LazerefF, it is understood, had a .special pound-proof chamber constructed, into which the ‘'medium” was introduced, with tt very delicately balanced coil affixed to his head. This coil was connected with an amplifier, the whole circuit, thus formed being joined with an aerial circuit. The result, according to the Russian scientist, was that the amplified waves emanating from the ‘‘mediums” brain produced in the aerial wires effects equivalent to those of radio. The brain emanations, Professor .LazerefF says, arc of short wave length ami high frequency. ■ The Russian scientist thinks his experiments explain the phenomena of telepathy and of communication between animals. If this proves true, he predicts it; will be possible to construct a radio receiving set which will dispense with the necessity of valves, crystals aml\other detectors, but which will convey sounds directly to the brains'of the listeners.
