Fiiie-l crossbred was up fully 2d, pieces Id ; 2d; old was the top price for a line * : quurterbivd wether wool. Pieces tii.m the same clip reached 28<l. Tlu- price, have never Iveeri exceeded in New Zealand. In another catalogue 26;)d was given for halfbrnd dead wool, said to be a. world’s record. The range of prices is not yet ascertainable, but best halfbred brought 28d to oOd. medium 23d to 26d, low 18d to 22d ; best merinos to 29Ad. Super piece brought 28d and the demand could not ho filled. Neckreached 28j.f1. Locks and pieces were quotable at jd to 2d advance. British buyers bought tho hulk of the quittances, but there was keen bidding on behalf o! Poland, Italy, Germany, America, and Japan.
