A well-attended meeting of the Gisborne Swimming Club ', was held last night, Mr, li. F. Forster bcirig'in the chair, ' ,
It was decided to hold thei opening carnival on Monday, February 11, and to accept additional entries a I C. Adair's not later than Friday, February' 8; A letter was received from Napier stating that the following team of swimmers would compete at tho forthcoming carnival: A. Adamsou, C, Crooks, H. Rose, and It. 'Ellmgham..-Mr. P. Smy'rk will accompany the team as manager. It was decided to include on the programme, in view of the N a P' er swimmers visit, a special 50 yards' scratch invitation race and a 200 yards' scratch relay race. Mr. C. Brown will select the teams to represent the Gisborne Club in the relay race. The preliminary heats of tho 50 yards' Poverty Bay championship will lie decided next Friday at 7,30 p.m.
