(Per Press Association.) ,MALTON, this day. Mr. Richard Hammond and iiis wife and two children were driving a horse and gig along the Tnrakina river at llunterville yesterday. They met some sheep, and the horse backed over the bank. Mr. Hammond jumped out with one child. Mrs. Hammond and 1 the baby went down a fifty-foot drop. The baby was killed and the mother seriously injured.
