SYDNEY, Au ff . 3.—The members of tho Verbrugghen string quartette Miss Jenny Cullen, Mr. David E. Nicholls, and Mr. James Messeas—loft by the Makura to join"-Mr. Henri Verbrugghou at Minneapolis. Though no end of musical people saw them olf and tried to give a jovial turn parting, a deep feeling of regret prevaded the farewell. The" artists are genuinely sorry to leave, and their friends equally regret their loss. Many representatives from tho Consorvatorium were present, including the registrar (Mr. Salmon) and the* principal members of the staff; and Mr. p. Faunco Allman waved adieus on behalf of the Musical Association.
