The Science Congress has ( concluded its .Melbourne session. Tlie general opinion of the leaders is that the meeting was a great success. It re-assemblee at -Sydney on Thursday.

SYDNEY, Aug. 22

At the request of the Science Congress, the United States scout cruiser Milwaukee sent; to Australia, arrived today. The object of the visit is to give the congressman opportunity of witnessing a demonstration of the Sonic depth finder. The warship stays eight days.
