- MONTHLY MEETING.

Tho monthly meeting of the Gisborne Land Board Vvaa hold to-day, there

being present: Messrs. V. I. Blake (Commissioner of Crown Lands), A. J. i Cameron, J. H. Reid, R, H. Wickstend, and G. 6. Donovan. Mr. Blake pre- ' The meeting lasted for three hours, a number of applications being dealt with, including many freon soldier settlers., Much of the business was conducted in committee, and the applications were made the subject of recommendations to the Minister. The Waikohu County Council forwarded proposal for the expenditure of “ thirds accrued to May 31,\amounting to £419 10s .’ lid. The proposals woto approved, and tho Crown lands ranger instructed to report whether tho work was carried out within a reasonable time. The Cook County also forwarded a Bchemo of expenditure of accrued thirds, amounting to £B6 15s. The schento was approved. 1
