A receiving set small enough t-o be car - ried in the waistcoat pocket is the latest wireless novelty. This little instrument. measuring only four inches by two and o quarter, has recently been received from America by Mr. A’. J. Dncombe, who showed it to a Star reporter. It is capable, lie stated, of doing remarkabl • things, and he had had some astonishing results. A couple of wires strung ir side the hood of a car will suffice, or lh> pedestrian can make use of an aerial sufficiently small to be carried without any bother. Armed with such an Instrument-, th: traveller can keep in touch with any broadcasting stations in the locality.
