I A young man, Edward G. Barker, charged -.with escaping, from the Koto Eoa inebriates' home, was remanded to Auckland. Accused ■was stated to be a dope subject, and "when arrested on the steamer lie had drug appliances.' Counsel alleged the conditions existing' at Koto Eoa wore disgraceful. There was no censorship of letters, and the inmates received drugs and hypoder-,. mic syringes through the post. The accused was. sent to Eoto Ron to get away from drugs, but was worse than -ever. - • . i AUCKLAND, last night, j x The death is announced of Mr. John Fuller, a member >of the well-known 1 theatrical firm. A native of England,! Mr. Fuller arrived at Auckland \. in 150. , 5, and- with his family, gave a series of popular concerts, from- which developed the present widespread ramifications in Australia and New Zealand. He is survived by his second •■wife and their son.and daughter. Mr. I Ray Fuller • (Wellington) and Mrs. 1 G rubb (Auckland), - also by i the sons and daughters of his first marriage— Sir Ben Fuller and Mr. John Fuller (Sydney), Mr. Walter Fuller '(Wellington), and Mesdames Hamer (Wel- ) lington), and Boddam (Wellington). Mr. Fuller was 72 years of age.
