Referring to the death of CttWoti Frank I Gould, one of the Oldest and best-known of the clergy of the Anglican Church in New Zealand, the Auckland Herald states; The deceased, who had resided at Gisborne for the past few years, arrived in New Zealand as a young man of 21, in 1848. being a passenger to Auckland by the ship (Main. After being at St. John's for four years he was ordained by Bishop Selwyn and then went to Russell in which district he was stationed for nine years. He was then transferred to Otahuhu, where he remained for the long period of 43 years. In 190.1, owing to his advancing years, he retired from his position as vicar of Otahuhu, and subsequently took up his residence nt Gisborne.
