The Minister for Agriculture has advised in reply to representations made that departmental officeVs Were keeping’ a constant watch for cattle tick and, although a few ticks bad been seen in the Waikato district lately, this did not give cause for alarm- Directions bad been isued that all farms on which ticks had been discovered were to bo kept under strict supervision. This had been done and no other ticks had been found. When ticks were discovered inconsiderable numbers, on a farm throe years ago, regular spraying had been carried out, and. this year the pest had almost disappeared. ,
