.Wheat cargoes are quieter and fairly steady. Parcels have weakened threepence, to sixpence, in sympathy with the American market.

Messrs. DalgeTy and Company, Ltd., report, the following cable from their L»ndon office ex Melbourne :—“Butter market last week looked possibly at bottom, holders doing utmost to support it, but demand is very slow, and stocks are' exceptionally heavy. Recent values are barely maintained.”
