The butter' trade is at' its dullest, buyers showing not tho slightest interest. Cheese is very slow, and supplies largely exceed requirements. Three steamers .’with" nearly 100,000 crates of New Zealand are awaiting discharge. New Zealand white is quoted at 965, to 98s; colored 98s to 100 s; Australian, nominal about 88s.

.Wheat cargoes are quieter and fairly steady. Parcels have weakened threepence, to sixpence, in sympathy with the American market.
Messrs. DalgeTy and Company, Ltd., report, the following cable from their L»ndon office ex Melbourne :—“Butter market last week looked possibly at bottom, holders doing utmost to support it, but demand is very slow, and stocks are' exceptionally heavy. Recent values are barely maintained.”
