After Cabinet had heard an envoy ■rom Lausanne, Rauof Bey, the Premier, addressing the Angora National Assembly, said a lasting peace was immediatelv obtainable if the Powers recognised' Turkey's judicial independence. Turkey could not accept control over demilitarised zones on the Straits. She must have reparations, including tho price of dreadnoughts not restored by Rritain. If the Powers did not grant reparations, Turkey must have liberty to exact them from Greece.
