The Chief Justice, in refusing leave to appeal in the case of George Hunt, convicted of false pretences in connection with a. betting scheme, said Hunt’s horse raring frauds, from which lie obtained a quarter of tt million pounds, duped a great many people. The present application was frivolous and Hunt deserved the sentence of three- years imposed on him.
