HARBOR LOAN POLL.
CAMPAIGN OPENS TO-MORROW
The first public meeting,in connection with the harbor loan poll' will be held to-morrow evening, at Te Karaka, wben a party of Harbor Board members and Gisborne business men from the Chamber Of Commerce, will visit Te Karaka. The' meetinp;' of ratepayers will be held'at Hundleby's Hal!, at 7.30. Mr. M. Doyle, of Te Karaka, a member oi the Waikohu County Council, will taKe the"chair and Mr. G- Smith, chairman of the Gisborne Harbor Board, will be vhe principal speaker. The party from town will be armed, with plans and information dealing with the outer harbor scheme and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce will voice that body's endorsement of tho figures relating .to the rating policy which the Board' will adopt in connection with the scheme. Jt is, regarded as probable that numerous questions will be raised by ratepayers, and the data to furnish replies to queries of any natule will be on hand. In view Of the importance to the district of the scheme adopted by the Board, questions will be welcomed. A large attendance at the meeting is anticipated.. .-• •- •."''••■••-■'•-' '■" ! ■
