Bandits held up the Dublin-Belfast mail traiii at .Mount Pleasant, near tho frontier, and stole bags of registered letters.
Tho Morning Poet's Belfast correspondent reports that rail and road traffic conditions in this section are becoming worse. Kvery day armed men operate with impunity in tho vicinity of Dun-. dalk, looting'wholesale. Their victims include) an aged lady nurse, who was robbed of all she Jiad and left on the roadside destitute. Loyalists are tho principal .sufferers, but the bandits are not respecting creeds or parties. A party of Free Staters in a lorry in O'Connell Street, Dublin, were ambushed by civilians armed with revolvers and bombs. The latter fled when attacked and iki( casualties were recorded. It is belioved tho rebels intend to make a determined stand in Cork and Limerick, whose communications with Dublin are cut. Official reports are guarded, but cithers report many affrays more or less serious.
