FROZEN MEAT OUTPUT.

The N.Z. Trade Review gives statistics of frozen meat export for the past few years. Last year's export totalled 432,169,<5621b5., being well ahead of tiny previous year except 1920. The high totals of 1910 and 1920 were due to clearances of accumulated stocks, and the 1921 figures included about 45 million pounds of old meat. Apart from these old stocks the output of last year was well ahead of the 1913-14 level, the 1914 export being 355,2.17,5421h5. The average of (he last five years is roughly .'SBO million pounds. The North Island's share of last year's total was (38 per cent. The East Coast exports for 1921 were as follows:

Last year's exports for the East Coast, including Whakatane, Hicks Hay, Tokomaru Bay, Gisborne, and Wairoa, but excluding Napier, amounted roughly to 77 million pounds, as compared with an export from Auckland and Whangarci of 28 million pounds, from Wellington 92 millions, from Lyttclttfn (iO millions, from Timaru 25 millions, Dunedin 17] millions, Bluff 21 million pounds, and a total export from the Dominion of 4.32 million pounds.
