ROWING.
SEMI-FINALS OF G.R.C. DOUBLES. The semi-finals of the G.R.C's double scull series for Mr. A. J. Cox's silver cup were rowed last evening on the Taruheru three-quarter mile course. T.vo good races were witnessed by a large number of spectators. In the first, event Kowley defeated' Hansen, by a margin of a. length, and in the second, a most exciting finish resulted in a win for Reddick over McCoy, with a three-foot lead. The final will be rowed this evening, and by all indications, a good race should be witnessed.
PAIR-OARS AND SINGLE SCULLS. A committee meeting of the Gisborne Club last evening decided to open n nomination list for each of the Langridge pair-oar and the Adair sculling trophies. The nominations will close on Friday evening, and the crews for the pairs will be matched the same evenim/..
