THREE YEAR'S IMPRISONMENT. SENTENCE ON" H. E. DENNETT. At. llio Supreme Court yesterday sentence was pronounced Inter in the iii'ternoon on Henry Edward Dennett, who had been found guilty of attempted rape. Mr R. B. Hill, who appeared for prisoner, said that not much could Im> s;:id for accused, except that he had gone straight since 1914. He had evidently given way to an impulse and committed this crime.

His Honor said that' prisoner had been very lightly convioted of this ciime. It was fortunate for him that people had come along when they did, as otherwise- his position would have been still more serious. The only thing Ins Honor 'could do would he to protect the public from liiili, by sentencing him to a term of imprisonment. He would therefore he sentenced (o three years' imprisonment, with hard labor, and would again be declared an habitual criminal.
