Niagara, leaving Auckland April 25. Up to December 21sti last the total amount' subscribed 1 by the people of New Zealand and paid over to the Save the Children Fund amounted to about £55,670 (writes a. London correspondent/ A further sum of £323 having come to band since then, the High Commissionc acquiesced with the desires of the Council of the Save the- Children Fund and allocated! the amount for the estab lishment of a "New Zealand Kitchen" ir ttie Saratov district.
