The output of metals in New South' Wales for the past year is valued at • £14,018,648, an increase of £2,607,186 compared with the previous year. The coal output/totalled 10,783,387 record —being an increase of 7388 tons. At the inquest on the victims of the ',' Goulboum quarry mishap, the Coroner \\ found, that they died from nitro benzine ! poisoning, due to inhaling fumes given off during charging the tunnel with lith- | ite and rendrock saturated ,with nitro benzine oil. The Coroner added a rider, "The use of such explosives under- , gr6und, should be prohibited or regulated."
