FOUND IN FLAMES.
NERVOUS PATIENT’S TRAGIC END. A sad tragedy in which a. married woman, died, following on- burns received while recovering from a nervous breakdown, is reported from Otahuhu, Auckland. The deceased was a. Mrs Mary Elizabeth Jones, a married woman, 46 years of age. a resident of the suburban district. Suffering from tho affliet ion mentioned, she was admitted to the Aotea Private Hospital, Great South road, on January sth, and was showing signs of improvement when -the unfortunate incident brought her lifa to a close. At about 5.30 p.m. on the 31st of last month the deceased was missed from the institution, and the nurses went in search for her. The unfortunate woman was found enveloped l in flames outside the washhouse. On being taken hack into the hospital she was found to be extensively burned and suffering from severe shock. She died 1 about 10 p.m. At the inquest, a verdict of heart failure following on severe shock from extensivo burns was returned 1 .
