Tiroa, s.s: (11 n.m.), 20b tons,- Clark, for Napier. The Arahura arrived from Napier on Saturday evening, and .after being tendered proceeded on to. Auckland at 9.20 p.m. The steamer is expected to leave the latter port at 3 p.m. to-moirow fot Tokornaru Bay and Gisborne, If she arrives here in time on Wednesday she is to be tendered upon arrival, for in w.ii'd passengers. The launch for outward passengers on Wednesday is fixed foT 4 p.m. (meantime). The Wingatui wa3 dispatched from Lyttelton on Satin day evening foi Wellington. She is to. leave.tjje latter port this afternoon for Napier and Gisborne with Southern produce. The ship is due here about Thursday, and after discharge is to proceed on to Auckland. Owing to weather conditions the Federal Line steamer Westmeath put U sea on Saturday night. She returned to shelter under xoung Nick’s Head early yesterday afternoon and came back rt the anchorage this morning. Work wai later re-commenced on her and she it to complete loading at this port- this afternoon Xhe vessel will then cleat for Wellington, to replenish water ano bunker- supplies, afterwards sailing foi West Coast ports of the United King dom.

The Inga is expected to complete dis charge and loading, and sail from Gis borne to-morrow night to fill up with timber for Svdney.

The Tiroa'sailed at 11 a.m. yesterday for Napier. The steamer is due bans here to-morrow morning and should leave the sanio evening for Tokomaru and Hicks Bays with general cargo. She afterwards i etui ns to Gisborne to load for Auckland. Tlie auxiliary schooner Fairburn h now to sail for Tokomaru Bay when tin weather conditions are more favorable

The Arahura was tendered under some what unpleasant conditions on Saturday evening. While the Tuatea, was alongside fhe sea made suddenly and tilt transferring of passengers was carried out- under difficulties. The tender although alongside the large vessel bobbed about like a cork and also ship ped several seas over her bow. Owing to the weather conditions the Arahuri passed by Tokomaru- Bay without cal ling. The majority of the passenger? for the latter port, however, did not sail on the Arahura, but came ashore here 'again.

The Gallic, which loaded at Gisborne recently, has been further delayed ir loading at Napier by rain, and was due at Wellington yesterday afternoon. She will now sail from Wellington on Thursday for London, via Cape Horn. The S.S. and A Co.’s liner Athenic. which is due at Wellington on the 19th inst., from London and Southampton after discharging at Wellington and Auckland, will load for Home at Auck land. Gisborne and Wellington. She ir due hei'e early next month. The vessel is due back at Wellington on March 17th. and will sail finally on March 24, fo: Southampton and London.

The Noiwegian steamer Toney, whici nirived at Napier on Sunday last, ir ballast, from .Shanghai, via Sydney, if to load wool and tallow in New Zealand for London. The vessel will subse quently visit Wellington, Wanganui, and Lyttelton, and is to sail finally about th< middle of Februai'v for London, via Ride Janeiro. The Torrey is a vessel o 1 2800 tons net with a carrying capacity of 8000 tons of wheat, built in Scotland in 1020. Two of the. boilers are heated by oil fuel, and a third is heated b\ coal. New Plymouth, Cape Campbell, and Farewell Spit, moderate at Tiritiri, Taurangn, and Capo Pnlliser, smooth at Napier and Gisborne. WEATHER FORECAST. The indications are for southerly, moderate to strong, and hacking bv south to east, and freshening. Expect changeable and showery weather. The barometer has a falling tendency. Sen rough.
