LONDON, Feb. 3
The Observer hints that Air. Churchill is preventing the British Cabinet dealing with the Egyptian problem on the progressive lines which Mr. Lloyd George and Lord Curzoti favor. The Observer adds that Lord Allenbv is coming home with his resignation in his pocket, having found himself in an impossible position ns High Commissioner.
A Foreign Office statement cabled on January 9 throws the responsibility of settlement on the British Parliament. Air. Churchill's ultimate choice will lie between loyalty to his position as a member of the Government or bis resignation. CAIRO, Feb. 4.
Egyptians cheered Lord Allenbv on departing for London, a remarkable tribute to bis popularity, and hopes were expressed that the British Government would accept his recommendations.
