Bicycle thipving, which has been very prevalent in Christchurch, has received a S check since the Magistrate announced his intention of sending offenders to prison. At to-day's Court, when the Magistrate sentenced a young man to 14 days' .imprisonment, Chief Detective Cameron said that since offenders were being sent to prison there had! been few cases of bicycle stealing reported.
