TIMARU, this day
The second wool sale of the current season was held to-day, the catalogue aggregating 12,001 bales. The average quality was fully up to the standard for the January sale. There was a very large attendance of Home, foreign, and colonial buyers. Competition was spirited, especially for better descriptions. Tho demand for merinos was specially keen, also for fine halfbreds. which sold on a par with the rates ruling at Dunedin. The demand for three-quarter bred was erratic. L T p to noon the range of prices was: Merino 19i|d, halfbred 163 d.
