LANDS HIS CATCH AFTER ALL. SUVA. Jon. 10.—Big game fish have been in 'Fijian waters during the past week or two in great numbers. While wcilu up to 611 b. have been caught (wulu foehn* a Spanish markereJ), the chief fish is th'e saga, a, splendid strong havd-figlit-ino- fish which reaches over 1001 b. Mr. Roy Parnell. M.C. was trawling with a companion in a small launch. Ho was using a new thick schnappcr 80 yard line, with a large hook baited with a, whole mullet. Suddenly the line flashed out. It was new and wet and had curled up as it lay. Roy’s hand tried to catch the flying line when one of the twists caught him by tho middle finger, and in a' second he was overboard 1 . , , • i His mate grabbed the lino, and stopped the engine, and ho climbed on board and brought the fish alongside in 10 minutes. The saga scaled 951 b. cleaned.
