Obituary: Monsignor (!. N. Lilian, of St. Benedict’s, aged 63, after a long illness. Deceased arrived in Auckland in 1887, and ministered at Tnurnnga, l’onsonby, Parnell, and St. Benedict’s, being 25 veers at Si. Benedict's. DANNEVIRKE, this day.
Two men are now in a Danncvirke hospital as a result of a motor accident near Woodville last night. < )%io, named Ship, a member of tho Annette Kellermau Company, had his leg broken and the other, Munro Gabriel, a wine and spirit merchant, of Palmerston North, has a fractured pelvis. Tho hitter's condition is critical. Tho driver of the car (name unknown) had his shoulder dislocated, but did not come here. The car was coming to Dannevirke from Palmerston North. Little, another member of tho Annette Kellcrman Co., who was in tho car, escaped injury, and was able to appear at the Dannevirke performance.

The inquest regarding the death of Ffdward Ernest 'Edwards, found dead at his residence, was held to-day. The evidence showed that deceased was a married man. Ho had seen considerable service at the war, and as a result of a. disability had lieen in poor health for some time. The doctor said death was due to cerebral hemorrhage. A verdict wiis returned accordingly. WELLINGTON, last night.
A returned soldier, Ed ward Edwards. 30 years of age, married, was found dead in bed. Deceased had suffered from a recurrent malady since his return from active service. tSpectnl to the Herald.) WELLINGTON, this day.
