Herr Stiiuics interviewed, declared that tho reports that the Allies were mitigating the reparation payments was untrue. "We are a long way from an understanding with the Allies,'' her said. "My view that the payments arc impossible has not changed. Germany .has met the Allied demands so far, .with the inevitable result that the country is financially an economically exhausted." * ■ . -- ' #

The Echo de Paris, referring to the coming interview between the Reparations Commission and German delegates, emphasises the point that the Commission is nowise bound by any accord reached in London.
