BOWLING
INTER-CLUB MATCH
Yesterday afternoon, on the green of the Kahutia'Bowling Club, the first interclub match of the season between the Kahutia and Poverty Bay Clubs was Commenced, and will be concluded on the green of the latter club to-morrow afternoon. Five teams represented each club yesterday, and the result proved an easy victory for Kahutia, who won four oat of the five games. The Poverty Bay players Were handicapped in coming on to a strange green, the conditions of which were a lot .different to their own. On the day's play, the Kahutia Club scored 136' points against their opponents' 76, which leaves them with a lead of 60 points on the aggregate. Following are results of the different games:

The Berry Cup competition, to bo held on Boxing Day and the day following, under the allspices of the new Gisborne Centre, promises to bo a most successful tournament. Teams are already being formed in the various clubs, and great interest is being evinced rrenerally.
