MATAWHEBO STOCK SALE. Tlie usual sale at the Matawhero sale yards, conducted by the Poverty Bay Stockbrokers’ Association, was held today. There was an average attendance. There were good yardings, as to quan T tity and quality, of fat sheep and fat cattle, but low prices prevailed for both classes. Pigs were yarded in large numbers, which changed hands at satisfactory prices. The yarding of store sheep, which comprised hoggets principally, was small, and there was not a great demand for this class of stock. Dairy cattle were yarded in fair number, but there was nothing of oustanding quality offered. There were no store cgttle yarded. The yardings were: Fat sheep 506, fat cattle 69, pigs 51, store sheep 397, dairy cattle 32.
