THE SHEARERS’ AWARDS.

Copies of the Northern Industrial District Shearers’ arid Shedhands’ Award were received by this morning’s mail by the 10-al Inspector of Factories, Air G. R. A. Whiting. A memorandum, signed by Judge F. V. Frazer, at the. foot ol the award reads: “This award is identical in its terms with the Wellington award. By agreement between the parties the awards made in each district are similarly worded, and hearings in districts other than Wellington, Canterbury, Otago and Southland, have been waived.” Discussing the matter, Air Whiting said that this made it quite clear that the shearers and shed hands are covered with the same, award as issued in Wellington a- few weeks ago, and of which Mr White, organiser for the Shearers’ Federation, lias a copy.
