(Received August .11.1.5 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 10,
The King's 1 reply states: Every facility must be given for such periodical meetings, and to ensure this we look confidently to men of science and research to discover improved means for intercommunication between all parts of the British Commonwealth. I know the work of the Conference has been strenuous, entailing severe demands,, mental and physical, on all concerned, but their time has been well spent in advancing further along the road of progress and development. I heartily thank them on my behalf, and the Queen's tor their address. We wish Cod-speed to those leaving England, and sate and happy return to their respective , homes and families'. More than ever as we follow with feelings of affection the welfare of our people at homo and across the sea.— GEORGE R.l.
