.'Per Press Association.> CHRISTCHCIvCII, this day. At the annual jneeting of tlie New Zealand Shorthorn Cattle Breeders’ Association, the name was changed to the Shorthorn Society of New Zealand. ItlLicials were electee! as follows: Presi’deiit, K. E. Alexander (Lincoln): vicepresident, A. Hunter (Hawera); council, W. G. Park (Te Awamutu) ; G. Stoddart (Lincoln), R. Millar (Whangarei), J. A. Johnstone. (Dunedin). The award of 14 shields for champion bulls during the coming season was allotted to the following shows: Hamilton, Manawalu, Carterton, Gisborne, Whangarei, Napier, Wanganui, Christchurch, Ellesmere, Dunedin, Invercargill, Timaru, Ashburton, and Gore.
