Sir,—ln reference to the evidence tendered at the court on the 9lh inst/, and published in your payer of even date, in riispeet. to the claim for possession of a house. viz. Walker v. Sluice, the evidence given by Mrs. Walker that I assured her of possession of the house within a. week or a month is misleading. The. contract I made for my client with the purchaser, Mrs. Walker, was •(hat the purchaser was to arrange for possession with the tenant. ’ I could not guarantee possession and » I distinctly told both (he purchaser and her husband so, in the presence of a third party; also a copy of tlie contract, it produced in court, would bear out my statement.- —I am, etc., • MARRY LLALL.
