Air Palmer, secretary of the Rugby Union, has tentatively arranged a match for the Springboks at Melbourne on the eighteenth, lie is communicating with them on the Aeneas, for approval.
Air E. S. Marks, secretary of the Athletic Union of Australia and New Zealand, litis written to South Africa to the. effect that the proposed visit of cyclists would be acceptable to New Soiilli Wales,, Victoria and Queensland, but not to South Australia or New Zealand, on account of there being no suitable tracks. It is stated athletics will lie revived in Australia at the end of the year at the time of the Australasian championships in New Zealand from middle January to middle February. Air W. W. Hill has received a lotlor from Maloney, vice-president of (he Californian Rugby Union, proposing a visit of an All American Rugby team in 1922. including Kirksev and Paddock, world champion sprinters; Templeton, the hurdler; Hanner, javelin thrower; Norton, the four forty hurdler; Muller, the high jump champion. Air Hill has referred Die matter to the Rugby Union and Athletic Association.
